Acquisition and Disposition: We counsel clients in connection with the purchase and sale of unimproved and improved real property, office, retail, and commercial projects; multifamily housing projects, equity investments, mortgage loans, REO properties, and real estate portfolios.

Master-Planned Communities: Our real estate lawyers counsel land developers in developing planned unit developments (PUDs) throughout Georgia. The firm assists developers in preparing and negotiating documentation for the sale of lots to merchant builders. We also represent merchant builders who wish to acquire property in those communities.

Finance: The firm represents borrowers and institutional lenders in connection with structuring, negotiating, and documenting secured real estate loans, including development, construction, bridge, and permanent loans. Our lending practice also includes the representation of lenders, borrowers, developers, equity partners, and other investors in workouts, receiverships, and foreclosure proceedings.

Leasing: The firm’s real estate lawyers represent landlords and tenants in structuring, negotiating, and documenting leases for office, retail, industrial, and commercial space. In addition, our commercial leasing attorneys have extensive experience representing land developers and landowners in lease transactions.

Joint Venture Entities: Attorneys in our real estate practice group regularly represent developers, landowners, equity investors, and other clients in structuring and negotiating limited liability company operating agreements, limited and general partnership agreements, and other real estate development and investment vehicles.

Construction and Development: The firm represents developers, property owners, investors, and financial institutions in residential, commercial, industrial, and retail development projects. We assist numerous clients with a wide variety of commercial condominium and other commercial tenant projects, including condominium conversions. Our attorneys have broad experience counseling clients in drafting and negotiating construction contracts, subcontracts, architect agreements, and other construction and design related agreements.
